NEEDED: Costume Designer, Set Designer

We need some super-talented, super-visual people to join the Operation Mincemeat team. We’re all songs this and script that, blah blah blah, please, turn our idiotic words into a sumptuous, modern, exciting visual feast?

NOTE: Though we’re advertising these roles separately, we’re also interested in people who would like to combine these roles into one Set/Costume Designer (for the combined fee of £2200)

Costume Designer - FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a highly-skilled costume designer based in the London area to work with us on our upcoming show 'Operation Mincemeat'.

Who

We are looking for an exciting, innovative designer who can source or make costumes, in response to a brief, to budget. Ideally they will have had experience in designing costumes for actors playing numerous characters and a desire to bring a fresh design take on this historical story.

What

Operation Mincemeat is a brand new comedy musical set in 1943 that tells the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler? Think Singin’ In The Rain meets Strangers On A Train, Noel Fielding meets Noel Coward. The show will be performed by a cast of 5 with an on-stage band of 3.

When

Operation Mincemeat will run for five weeks at the New Diorama Theatre, London from 14th May, with rehearsals 18 - 22 March & 22 April - 13 May 2019. Fittings and rehearsal visits will need to take place during these weeks.

Fee

£1000 (separate to materials budget)

Set Designer - FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a highly-skilled set designer based in the London area to work with us on our upcoming show 'Operation Mincemeat’.

Who

We are looking for an innovative, exciting designer who’s happy to respond to a brief, to budget; who can bring a fresh design take on this historical story and who can utilise a limited studio space in a clever and interesting way (it is a small theatre with a cast of five and an on-stage band of three)
